ALBERT "AL" AMINO UNCLE MONEY
Albert "Uncle Money" Amino , 86, Kansas City, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5300 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, KS. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the church, where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Sisters Servants of Mary, 800 North 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66012 or Christ the King Catholic Church, 5300 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, KS 66104. Please omit flowers.
Mr. Amino was born in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in England, France and Italy. He retired as Vice President of Amino Brothers Co., Inc. in 1984. Albert, along with his brothers, Vic and George founded the company in 1932. The company began with two dump trucks and over the years has been instrumental in the development of the interstate highway systems in Kansas and Missouri.
Both Al's office and home were always open to anyone for a meal or a glass of wine and a friendly greeting. He truly believed in living his life based on three beliefs, Faith, Family and Friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Amino , brothers, Frank, George, Vic and Joe, and his only sister, Josephine Amino Seeman.
He is survived by his nieces, Mary Seeman Sullivan, Leawood, KS, Denise Seeman Janes, Lenexa, KS; nephews, David Victor Seeman, Shawnee, KS and Albert K. Seeman, Kansas City, KS; two great-nieces, Tiffany Seeman and Katie J. Seeman; and two great-nephews, David Joseph Seeman and John Victor Seeman.
We will miss your presence in our daily lives and we are forever grateful to you for being our "second father."
Acting as pallbearers will be Larry Miller, Phil Balano, Joe Orth, Roger Balzer, Don Yonker and Bob Griffith. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Locke, Pete McCluskey, Bill Clark, Leonard Lipari, Sal Arnone, Ross Pace, Doug Spangler, and Ken Ashmore.
A very special thanks to our dear friend, Joe Orth, who has shown such compassion, patience and love to our dear uncle.
