Services were held January 5th at Reid-Walters Funeral Home Chapel in Earlington with the Rev. Henry Kelly and Rev. Larry Phaup officiating. Burial in New Salem Cemetery at Nortonville.
Espy was born September 8, 1922 in Hopkins County, son of the late Ira "Bud" and Cora Brown Adamson.
He worked 48 years in the coal mining industry, retiring from Pyro Mining Co.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Pauline Adamson, who died in 1975; four brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Surviving are his wife Cora Adamson, who he married on Feb 14, 1986; five daughters, Tammy Dawson, of Dawson Springs, Dorthy Gibson, Madisonville, Sondra Vincent and Jeanie Brown, Nortonville, and Kim Cline of Crofton; a son, Tommy Adamson of Nortonville; two brothers, William Jasper Adamson and Johnny Adamson of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
