We celebrate the life of Edward Lenard Baldwin who went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2006, in Springfield, Mo. Ed was a loving and devoted husband, supportive father, proud grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Sally, of 57 years; son, Dr. Gary and wife, Elaine Baldwin; son, Tom and wife, Rhonda Baldwin; grandson, Shannon and wife, Marcie Baldwin; grandson, Dr. Shawn and wife, Adriane Baldwin; granddaughter, Sheree and husband, Seth Colson; grandson, Tyler Baldwin; four greatgrandchildren, Trent, Conner, Brooke and Leigh; brother, Ray and wife, Betty Baldwin; sister, Marjorie and husband, Allen Peabody; brother-inlaw, Gene and wife, Betty Miles; and brother-in-law, Harry and wife, JoAnna Miles. Ed was born to Harvie and Mary Baldwin on December 27, 1930, in Jericho Springs, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred McFarland; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Alta Miles; and sister-in-law, Betty Hessee. Ed was a successful businessman in Springfield for over 40 years as owner of Wright Litho and Printing Company. He was an active Christian in several local churches, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, Royal Ambassador Counselor, and leader on various church committees. Son, Dr. Gary D. Baldwin, and Rev. Michael W. Overton, will be officiating the services at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Monday, April 24, 2006, at 10 a.m. The interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. today, April 23, 2006, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial donations may be made to the V.F.W. Post 3404, 1136 E. Atlantic, Springfield, MO 65803.
