Imogene (Thorne) Judy Miller, age 68, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born October 19, 1946 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Virgil Garrett Thorne and Annie Elizabeth(Ours) Thorne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Miller on March 21, 2009.
Imogene retired from Pilgrims Pride in Moorefield, WV.
She was a private in home caregiver and volunteered at the Grant County Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Memorial Church of the Brethren in Petersburg, WV and attended the Rig Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Denise Arnold and husband John of Thomas, WV, Melissa Judy and fiancee Tony Cook of Stephens City, VA and Jaime Johnson and husband George of Petersburg, WV; one step daughter, Misty Carpenter and husband Larry of Petersburg, WV; seven grandchildren, Garrett Sites of Clarksburg, WV, Salena Sites of Dorcas, WV, Cassie Arnold and companion Marshall Thayer of Deep Creek, MD, Jonathan Johnson, Isaak Johnson and Ashton Johnson, all of Crites Village, Dorcas, WV and Kenston Sites of Dorcas, WV; two step grandchildren, Connar Carpenter and Gracie Carpenter of Petersburg, WV; three great grandchildren, Devan Ours of Wardensville, WV, Jayden Hedrick and Kayden Hedrick, both of Dorcas, WV; two brothers, Paul Thorne of Dorcas, WV and Willis “Buck” Thorne of Moorefield, WV; four sisters, Shirlene Alt of Petersburg, WV, Maxine Halterman of Moorefield, WV, Lucy Crites of Moorefield, WV, Wilma Judy of Moorefield, WV.
Family will receive friends Friday 6 – 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will be that evening (Friday, Dec. 26, 2014) at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Brad Taylor and Pastor Harold Cullers officiating.
Graveside service will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Miller Family Cemetery at Seneca Rocks, WV with Mike Crites officiating.
