Jeffrey Lee Spurling, 27, Shelbyville, died Sunday, June 14, 1987 in the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, as the result of a motorcycle accident near Flat Rock.
He was born Oct. 11, 1959, in Shelbyville, the son of John W. Spurling Sr., who survives, and Betty Maxine Clapp Spurling. His mother is deceased. He had worked at Knauff Mfg. Co., since 1983.
In addition to his father, Edinburgh, he is survived by his stepmother, he is survived by his stepmother, Alice Wells Spurling, Edinburgh; his daughter, Brandi Spurling, 25 E. South St., Shelbyville; one brother, John W. Spurling Jr., Shelbyville; a sister, Anita Hensley, Shelbyville; one stepbrother, Tony Wells, England; three stepsisters, Shelia Sasher, Flat Rock, Connie Webe, Shelbyville, and Teresa Cheatham, Belleville; his grandfather, George Spurling, Flat Rock, and his grandmother, Edith Spurling, Shelbyville.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Carmony Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
Burial will be in the Van Pelt Cemetery, near Shelbyville.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
