Harry C. Hoke, 74, Gettysburg R.5., died Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock at the home of a sister, Mrs. Clarence Jeffcoat, Breckenridge St., Gettysburg, with whom he had been residing for the winter.

Mr. Hoke was a retired furniture factory worker. He was born September 16, 1883, in Adams County, a son of the late Jacob E. and Rebecca (Sentz) Hoke. His wife, the former Clara Sterner, died 22 years ago. He was a member of the local lodge of the Odd Fellows.

Surviving in addition to his sister, Mrs. Jeffcoat, at whose home death occurred, are a son: Chester W. Hoke of Gettysburg; a granddaughter: Mrs. Ronald Guise; and two great-grandchildren.
