Sammie Eugene Stinson was born on July 9, 1930, in Franklin, TN and passed away at his home on February 6, 2019, at the age of 88.

He was the son of the late Arch Stinson and Lily Hughes Stinson.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Nancy Stinson and sons Winfred Stinson and David Stinson. His brothers and sisters: James, Roy, Archie, Charles, Clifton, Dorothy, Margaret, and Zula.

He is survived by his daughters Deborah King of Lyles and Diane Thompson of Lyles. Sons Stanley Stinson of Lyles, Herschel Stinson of Nashville, and Mike Stinson of Linden. His daughter Donna Gayle. 15 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Along with a whole host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Mr. Stinson worked mainly in the construction business. He was also an avid fisherman. He did most of his fishing at the Bowie Nature Park in Fairview, where he fished for whatever would bite. He also loved his grandchildren.

Burial in the Taylor Cemetery, Franklin, TN
