Bethel Acres resident JoAnn Seeley, 55, died Wednesday, April 12, at her home.
She was born April 7, 1951 in Fort Gibson to the Rev. Jack T. and Evelyn (McAnally) Linzy.

Born and raised in Fort Gibson, she later moved to Holdenville where she graduated high school in 1969. She then graduated from Seminole Junior College in 1976. She lived her entire adult life in Bethel Acres.

On Oct. 18, 1969, she married Joe Seeley in Holdenville.

JoAnn was a registered nurse a Mission Hill Hospital, Shawnee Medical Center, Prague Hospital, Shawnee Care Center and the Department of Human Services.

She was a longtime member of the Church of the Living God, enjoyed following her children's school activities and spending time with friends, family and her dog Gracie. She was an excellent cook and seamstress.

Her parents and her father-in-law, Joe Seeley Sr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Seeley of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jadrea and Scott Prater of Bethel Acres; son, Jason Seeley of Shawnee; brother, Jack R. Linzy of Muskogee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Truby and Gary DeShields of Atwood, Bob and Delane Seeley of Byng, Carol Snyder of Moore, and Angie Seeley of Sulphur; mother-in-law, Iree Seeley of Sulphur; and numerous family and friends.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Living God with the Rev. Robert Ingram and Pastor Keith Ward officiating. Burial will follow at the Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
