MT. PLEASANT Mrs. Geraldine James White, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at CMC-Northeast. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, at First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, officiated by the Rev. Tom Fleming. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The White family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday evening, Dec. 19, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. White was born April 5, 1934, in Forsyth County, daughter of the late Vernon Posey James and Nina Shoe James. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and an active member of the Prayer Shaw Ministry. She was preceded in death by infant children, Randy H. White and Rhonda K White; and a number of brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, William H. White; sons, Jeffrey H. White, of Mt. Pleasant and Timothy L. White and wife, Mary, of Concord; brother, Frank James, of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Nancy J. Humphrey and Margaret Boger, both of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church, Prayer Shaw Ministry, 8535 Lee St., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124.
