Siblings: Gracie Maude, Elmer Richard, and Nola Juanita.
Her first marriage was to William Henry Ooley.
She was step mother to Henry's children: Burla Louise, Mary Catherine and Walter John "Buck".
Her second marriage was to Homer Phipps on March 16, 1946.
She was also step mother to Homer's children: Homer Earl, Elsie Bernice, Franklin Arthur, Ocie Loreda, Floyd Eugene, Carrie Louise, and Mary Ann.
Her children were James and Michael. She and Homer had one more child and named him Norman.
She remarried to Elmer Davis in her late years, but she quickly annulled the marriage.
She was a very productive and energetic lady. She was a member of the Eastern Star for many years; gifted with a lovely voice. She and Homer were great partners, taking care of their large farm and the children.
I have many great memories of visiting the home. One of many is sitting around the huge dinner table and listening to the laughter and conversations. The grape juice that became wine and exploded all over the kitchen, the evenings spent around the organ and piano, singing and enjoying one another's company. The dairy barn and the gentle care of the herd, the smell of the barn and the picnics, there. Her mother, my gr.grandmother Minnie Cole, lived with her until it was necessary to have 24/7 care in a nursing home, due to her weakness and advancing age.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, brother Richard "Dick", and sister Grace.
