Millionaire Socialite Dies
Belleair, Fla July 25
Henry J Topping, millionaire socialite, died at his home here today. He was 64.
He was the father of Dan R Topping, president of the New York Yankee baseball club.

Survivors include two other sons, Henry J Topping, Jr., of Beverly Hills, Calif., and John R Topping, New York; and a brother, Wilbur Topping, Detroit.

Topping spent his winters in this section of Florida west coast since 1910, but had established a home here only in the last 10 years. He also had a home in Greenwich, Conneticut.

Henry J Topping, 64, millionaire socialite and father of Dan Topping, president of the New York Yankees, died at his home here yesterday.

Topping was a leading amateur golfer in the 1920's and early 1930's. He was once amateur gold champion of Conneticut.

He was the son of John Alexander Topping, former chairman of the board of Republic Steel Corp.

Mrs. Topping, daughter of late Daniel G Reid, tinplate manufacturer, died in 1947.

Survivors include two other sons, Henry J Topping, Jr., of Beverly Hills, Calif., and John R Topping, New York; and a brother, Wilbur Topping, Detroit.

Topping spent his winters in this section of Florida west coast since 1910, but had established a home here only in the last 10 years. He also had a home in Greenwich, Conneticut.

Henry J Topping, father of the sportsmen, Bob and Dan Topping, died at his winter home here today after a long illness.

The 64 year-old Topping, of Greenwich, Conn., had wintered at his Golfside home since 1910 and has lived here most of the year around for the last 10 years.

His body will be sent tomorrow to New York, where services will be held at the Frank E Campbell
