Restaurateur. Owner of 'Jack's At The Beach', well known restaurant on the Santa Monica Pier. After working as a bus boy at the famous Palace Hotel in San Francisco, he came to Los Angeles in 1922 and opened what he called a small fish shack. The establishment became famous because of it's cuisine and location and was popular with silent screen stars. Later the location was moved to Wilshire Blvd. where the Pacific Dining Car Is now located.
