Born in Providence, a son of the late Adolfo and Felicita (Danella) Fidi , he had lived in Miami 20 years before moving to Puerto Rico 12 years ago.
Mr. Fidi was a graduate of Johnson & Wales School of Business. He received a degree in physical therapy from Boston University and also graduated from the University of Puerto Rico. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was a physical therapist at St. Francis Hospital, Miami, and later an English teacher in Puerto Rico.
He leaves two sisters, Teresa Angelone of East Greenwich and Irene Fidi of Johnston; and two brothers, Victor Fidi of Southington, Conn., and Salvatore Fidi on Martha's Vineyard.
He was the brother of the late Jennie Luft and Elsie D'Ippolito.
The funeral was held in Puerto Rico. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
