Leslie B. Powell, 66, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Crawfordsville, [Indiana], died Friday in a hospital at Ft. Worth, [Texas].
Mr. Powell was a truck driver for McDaniel Freight Lines. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 50, Scottish Rite and First Christian Church here.
Born March 12, 1909, at Crawfordsville, he was a son of Thomas and Elva Linn Powell. He was married to Martha Evelyn Thomas on January 19, 1929 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She survives.
Also surviving is the mother of Crawfordsville; two sons; two brothers, Thomas Clayton Powell of Crawfordsville and Lyle Powell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and six grandchildren.
Services will be a t 2 p.m. Monday [7 April 1975] in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
