Death of Chas R. Samuels
Last Monday night at his home in the southeast part of town occurred the death of Charles Robert Samuels who had been suffering lung trouble for some time. The funeral was preached by W.A. Ray and the remains ere buried in the Lee Graveyard of Muldrow. Mr. Samuels came to this country from Kentucky about forty years ago. His wife, Matilda died about nineteen years ago. Two sons and one daughter are left to mourn his death. They are: George Samuels of Gans, Jesse C. Samuels and Mrs. Jesse Roberson of this city. The deceased so we are told, never made a public profession of religion, but in his last hours on earth sought forgiveness of his sins and staed he was ready to meet his maker. He has gone from us and whatever faults he may have had, let us forget them for who of us have them not.
