Doris Anthony Schollmeyer, 87, of Hattiesburg, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Forrest General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with interment in Highland Cemetery to follow.
Mrs. Schollmeyer was a long time member of Central Baptist church. She was a co-owner of Lumberton Hardware until her retirement. Through the years, she loved to travel with her husband and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Schollmeyer of forty-four years; her parents, Bill and Bessie Anthony; her brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Louise Anthony, brother and sister-in-law, William "Pete" and Lois Anthony, Jr., and David Anthony; and her sister, Evelyn Rihner, niece, Theresa Nell Anthony.
Visitation for Mrs. Schollmeyer will be held Thursday, January 28, 2015 at the Hattiesburg Chapel of Moore Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
At the request of the family, memorials may be directed to the Building Fund of Central Baptist Church of Hattiesburg.
