∼OBITUARY OF MRS. IDA C. J. FECHSER
MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mrs. Ida C. Johnson FECHSER, widow of John F. FECHSER, pioneer miller of Mount Pleasant, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew O. MADSEN, after a brief illness from a bowel disorder.
Mrs. FECHSER, daughter of Christopher and Marten JOHNSON, was born in Norway, August 13, 1846, and came to Utah with her parents, arriving in Salt Lake in 1863 by ox train, and on January 02, 1864, she was married in the Endowment house in Salt Lake. They were among the earliest settlers in Mt. Pleasant.
They were among the earliest settlers in Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. FECHSER was a Relief society teacher for more than 30 years.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters; Mrs. S. P. JENSEN, Murray; Mrs. Frank CARLSTON, Mrs. Elon A. HANSEN and Hyrum FECHSER, Salt Lake; J. Fred FECHSER, Provo; James C. FECHSER, Moroni; Mrs. MADSEN and Mrs. Emil HASLER, Mount Pleasant; a brother, John C. JOHNSON, Ephraim; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth ALLRED, Salt Lake; forty-seven grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held in the North Ward Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
