Rose Viola Choat, 89, 1522A Paradise Hill Road, died Monday, June 7, 1993, at Clarksville Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness.
The Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Corley officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Palmyra.
Visitation will be at the Funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today and will continue Friday until the hour of service.
She was born March 23, 1904, in Montgomery County Tennessee, a daughter of James Wright Elliot and Melissa Hendricks Elliot. She was the widow of James Fred Choat.
She was a homemaker and member of Tarsus United Methodist Church Palmyra.
Survivors include four sons.

2. John David Choat Sr. Great Mills, MD
3. Boyd Richard Choat, Clarksville, TN
4. Floyd L. Choat Fairfield California
Two daughters, Reba Powers and Mary Butler Collins, both of Clarksville: Two sisters Cora Bell Hill, Eddyville, and Davada Presley, Nashville: 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 11 great-great Grandchildren
Grandsons will pallbearers’ Memorials may be to the American Association.
