Mr. J. A. Burgan, a well-known and highly-esteemed resident of this county, died of paralysis at 2:15 o'clock Wednesday morning, at the residence of his son-in-law, E. R. Keplinger, of Hudson. Deceased was suddenly taken down Monday morning. His friends thought that he had been sun-struck, and promptly summoned medical aid, when it was found that his entire right side was paralyzed, and that recovery was doubtful. Loving and skillful care could prolong the honored father's life but a few hours, and he quietly passed away at the age of sixty-seven years. The wife of deceased died some eight or ten years ago, but a numerous family of grown and married children, all respected and well-to-do citizens, mourn his loss. They are, W. P. Burgan, John Burgan, Mrs. G. J. Strang, Mrs. E. R. Keplinger, of Douglas county; Mrs. John Strangway, of Marion, Minn., and Douglas Burgan, of St. Cloud. They have the sympathy of the entire community.
