Daniel Elisha Haynes, Sr., 89, of Stoneville, NC, died December 9, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA on August 27, 1925 he was a son of David Edward Haynes and Josephine Amos Haynes. Mr. Haynes was a WWII Veteran serving in the US Army. He worked for English Construction Company and was a member of Shelton Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alma Virginia DeHart Haynes, a brother, four sisters, a step-son, and a step-daughter.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Phillips Haynes, son, Daniel E. Haynes, Jr; a step-son, Darrell Phillips; a sister, Flossie H. Rigney. Burial will be at Highland Burial Park.
