He married the young hotty, Mary Rita Daly, on November 4, 1961, and never did figure out how he pulled it off. To this union, were born five children, who consider themselves lucky. Gary of Woodstock, Teri of Littleton, CO, Brian of Woodstock, Dan (Cheryl) of Oakwood Hills, and Sean of Kenosha, WI.
The Feez was a lifelong resident of McHenry County, a past President of the Woodstock Jaycees, a member of Laborers' Local 25, a popular Karaoke Singer, founder of Minuteman Press of Crystal Lake, a devout Sox, Bears, Sox, Bulls, Sox, Hawks, Sox, Huskies, Sox, Illini, Sox, Cubs, Sox and Wolves fan, and a hell of a guy.
Perhaps his greatest accomplishment in life was helping to create the concrete outer skin of new Comisky Park.
Surviving are all the kids; sisters, Loretta "Texas" Vela, and Judy Hansen of Woodstock; and his beloved grandchildren, Taylor (Dan), Cailey, Jordyn, Cory, Devin, James, Elaine, Sammy, Madison and Connor; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by the love of his life, Mary; and grandson, Ryan.
In parting, he wished you well, and encourages you to treat others with respect.
A celebration of his life will be held at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock, Saturday, December 13, 2014, with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and a brief service following. In keeping with Feez's obsession, you are encouraged to wear White Sox attire.
While his soul rejoins those that went before him, we'll be laying his body to rest at McHenry County Memorial Cemetery for safekeeping.
