Gary Lee Nott, 70, of Richmond, TX, formerly of Topeka and Oskaloosa, passed away December 4, 2014 in Houston, TX. He was born November 15, 1944 in Topeka the son of Paul and Arlene (Bickford) Nott.
Gary graduated from Circleville High School in 1962 and from Washburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he earned the Purple Heart and Silver Star Accommodations. Gary was also an accountant for 20 years prior to retiring as a fully disabled Veteran. He was a life-time member of the American Legion Post #225 in Ozawkie. He was also a member of V.F.W, Masons and Arab Shriners....
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Nott; his mother, Arlene Nott (Bickford); his brother, Leslie Nott; and his sisters, Patty Nott and Lavonna Nott.
Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment with full military honors will follow in the Olive Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Ozawkie American Legion Post 225 c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
