William Robert Cameron, 78, of Columbus passed away Monday December 8, 2014 at the Regency Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born September 2, 1936 in Gridley, CA to the late Katie Price and Grover Cameron. Mr. Cameron was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter- Day Saints, in Columbus, MS.

Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at The Church 0f Jesus Christ Of Latter- Day Saints with Bishop Buck Jolley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Columbus. Pallbearers will be Josh Corbell, Nathan Corbell, Anthony Corbell, Cody Corbell, Brian Jenkins, Sterling Ray, and Jessie Cameron. Honorary pallbearer is Timothy Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Corbell Cameron of Columbus; daughter, Tammy Cameron Jenkinsof Columbus; son, David Cameronof Hickory, NC; stepsons, Wayne Corbell of Hamilton, Richard Corbell of West Point; brother Eldon Cameron of Idaho; 3 sisters, Yuvonne Quist of Chico, CA., Catherine Dobbs of Oregon, Effie Woodmansee of Idaho; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Van Robinson Cameron; 2 brothers, Reuel Cameron and Eldon Cameron and 2 sisters, Reva Tupen and Mary Scott.
