Frances Dora Bacus, age 101, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2014 after a brief illness.

She was born on March 14, 1913 in Springfield, Oregon, the fifth child of John and Mable Bower.

Frances married Roland Lutz on June 30, 1939. The couple had two children, Arthur A Lutz and Mary A. Lutz. Roland passed away in May of 1942 in Los Angeles, CA.

On August 19, 1945 Frances married W.K.(Kenneth) Bacus. They moved to Sedro-Woolley, where they resided for the next thirty years. They adopted son Robert H. Bacus, completing their immediate family.

Kenneth and Frances enjoyed their retirement years traveling around the country in a motorhome and later living in Yucaipa, CA. Kenneth preceded Frances in death on May 28, 1996.

She later moved to Olympia, WA to be near her daughter, Mary Lutz Sherman. She lived with Mary in Tumwater, WA since 2002.

At Frances’s request there will be no services and she will be laid to rest at the Hamilton Cemetery next to her husband, Kenneth Bacus.
