"The death of Albert Spraker, aged 68, occurred at his home Friday morning following a long illness. Mr. Spraker was born in Cherry Valley March 24, 1883, the son of James and Lana Wiles Spraker. His entire life was spent in and around Cherry Valley. He was a blacksmith, carpenter and builder. On June 27, 1906, he married Nelly Lewis of Schenevus who survives. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Neale of Sharon springs; Mrs. May Hartum and Mrs. Dorr Snyder of Cherry Valley, and one brother, Herbert of Sharon Springs, also several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Grace Episcopal church, Cherry Valley I.O.O.F. and an exempt Vol. Fireman. Odd Fellow services were held at the funeral home Sunday evening ... Burial was made in the Cherry Valley Cemetery. Mr. Spraker was a faithful attendant at his church, a loving husband and a kind neighbor and friend to everyone."
