Vaunlee E. "Vonnie" Cline, 83, of Carlisle, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born April 29, 1925, in Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Gard and Olive (Ferrenberg) Anderson and the widow of Harold E. Cline, who died Jan. 15, 1988.
Vonnie was a partner with her late husband in building and land development projects in the Carlisle area, including building and formerly owning and operating the Harvon Motel in Carlisle.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle, and many community organizations, including the Carlisle Civic Club and Order of Eastern Star-Old Bellaire Chapter.
She is survived by her son, Richard H. (and his wife, Jane) Cline of Libertyville, Ill.; three grandsons, Richard M., Peter A. and Robert "Sam" Cline, all of Libertyville; a brother, Charles Anderson of Huntingdon County; and many nieces and nephews.
Vonnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie M. Cline who died in 1973, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Grace United Methodist Church, 45 S. West St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Edward T. D'Agostino officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
