Aden L. Carper, 88, passed away Friday December 5, 2014 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. He was born in Auburn on January 28, 1926 to Howard and Mina (Mitchell) Carper.

He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired in 1988 from the DeKalb County Highway Department after 18 years of Service.

He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Auburn, Model T International Organization, Temperamental T's of Auburn and the Cedar Creek Engine and Tractor Association.

Aden married Opal V King and she has preceded him in death.

Surviving are 2 sons, Thomas Carper of Crestview, FL and Hank (Lynda) Carper of Auburn; 4 daughters, Cynthia (Phil) Bonahoom of Fort Wayne, Joellen (Tom) Reade of South Bend, Melinda (Jim) Dunn of Waterloo and Lori (Max) Keck of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters Ellen (Orville) Shryocks of Fort Wayne and Sally Ort of Auburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a grandson Jason and 6 brothers, Robert, Joseph, Ralph, Hank, Art, Sam and 4 siblings in infancy including his twin Iden.

Services are 3 PM Monday December 8, 2014 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn. Burial is in Roselawn Cemetery in Auburn. Calling is 3 hours prior to the service Monday from 12 to 3 PM at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the DeKalb County Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
