Born in Wilkinson County, he had lived in Milledgeville for many years. He was employed by WMVG radio station for over 45 years. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Johnie Jackson Smith of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews.
