McINTYRE-Funeral Services for John Ernest Jackson, 84, who died Sunday in the Baldwin County Hospital will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Wilkinson County with the Rev. Norman Williams officiating. Burial will be in Nunn and Wheeler Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was a lifelong resident of Wilkinson County and retired farmer. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son Ralph Parker "Slats" Jackson of Milledgeville; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Jackson Marshall of Warner Robins, Mrs. Texie Jackson Johnson and Mrs. Johnie Jackson Smith of Milledgeville; one half-brother, Dr. Bernard Helton of Sandersville; one half sister, Mrs. Eva Crutchfield of Toomsboro, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Berry-Martin Funeral Home of Milledgeville has charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before funeral time.
