Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 7th at Osborn Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Chapelwood Cemetery in Vivian, LA with Bro. Jessie Colston officiating the services.
Marshall was born on March 4, 1957, in Pampa, TX, and graduated from North Caddo High School. He received his certificate in welding from Vo Tech and worked in that profession for over 30 years. He was employed at General Electric since 1999.
Marshall enjoyed baseball, college football, hunting, fishing, cooking, and eating. He was the life of the party and never met a stranger. His gift was being able to make everyone laugh. He loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Cox is preceded in death by his parents, Joanne and Jimmie Cox and step-son Justin Hightower.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Cox; daughters, Amy Lipscomb and husband, Garry, and Sarah McCullough and husband, Sean; step-daughter, Kristen Hightower; brother, Terry Cox; mother-in-law, Nancy Kennon. He also leaves behind many close friends, extended family, and his faithful dogs, Casey, Remi, and Bailey.
Marshall was a wonderful and loving dad, husband, and brother.
Pallbearers will be Garry Lipscomb, Sean McCullough, DuWayne Smith, Jacob Cox, Barry Cox, David Blaine, and Devon Smith.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Doris Williamson for her special love and care during his illness. We would also like to thank Dr. Edward Agura, all the staff at Texas Oncology, the 6th and 7th floor nurses and staff at T. Boone Pickens Cancer Center and the 4th floor ICU nurses at Roberts Hospital. Everyone at Baylor made our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible
