17 December 1788: Wingo, Churchill and Mary Seay, who writes her own consent. Wit. to consent, Reuben Seay, James Seay and John Wingo, Senr. Sur. Rawley Fossett. p. W-3. Mary Ann Seay, daughter of James Seay and Lucy Lewis, was born in 1767. She died in 1847 at the age of 80. Witness to marriage were Reuben and James Seay and John Wingo, Sr.

Number of white male tithables over 16 = 1.

Deed of Trust: Churchill Wingo of Amelia Co. to Thomas Ware of same. D. Nov. 16, 1796. Consd: $1. Wingo is indebted to Ware for the purchase price of a tract of land [no acreage or location given], and if the purchase price is not paid as agreed, the land may be sold at public auction, and Ware is to satisfy Wingo's costs connected with the sale.
Wit.: Waller Ford & [illegible] Bryan. Pro: Apr. 17, 1797 by Waller Ford & "B. B." and ordered cont'd.

1810, July: Churchwell's will is settled with Joshua receiving 24 pounds, 15 shillings, 48 pennies with interest from Dec. 28, 1809. John Wingo was the executor of the estate.

Guardian Record of John Wingo Dated 16 July 1810, Amelia County Will Book No. 7, Page 512:
Pursuant to the annexed order of Amelia Court we the undersigned have proceeded to settle the acct of John Wingo former guardian of Joshua Wingo, Letticia Wingo, Lucy Wingo, and Patrick Wingo, orphans of Churchill Wingo deceased and find due from the said guardian to Joshua, Letticia and Lucy the sum of twenty four pounds fifteen and 45 each with interest from the 28th day of December 1807 and to Patrick Wingo we find a balance due from said guardian the sum of twelve pounds fifteen shillings and 4 with interest from the 28th day of December 1807. Given under our hands this 16th day of July 1810. Samuel Ford, Wm. Powell, Pink D. Booker.

This settlement of the accounts of John Wingo former guardian of Joshua, Letticia, Lucy, and Patrick Wingo was returned into court and ordered to be recorded.
