Mrs. Allison Dies Thursday

Mrs Edwin J. (Nellie C.) Allison, 66, 136 Joanne Ln.; died Jan. 30 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Allison was born Oct. 6, 1908 in Logan County, Ohio, the daughter of Pearl and Harriet Tussing Deardurff. On May 28, 1938 she was united in marriage with Edwin J. Allison at Wuseon, Ohio.

Previous to her retirement in June 1974 she was a teacher in the Grand Detour schools for years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Delta Kappa Gamma sorority and Christian Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband; two son, James E. Allison of Winamac, Ind. and L.S. Allison of New Berlin, Wis.; one daughter, Mrs William (Marcia) Huff of Haynes City, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Montgomery (Mary Ethel) Douglas of Miami, Fla. and Mrs. Anna Detweiler of Andalusia, Ala., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from Faith Lutheran with the Rev. John Place officiating. Cremation followed the services.

A memorial fund has been established to Faith Lutheran Church.
