MRS. DALE GILLETTE
(1912-1954)
Mrs. Effie Mae Gillette, 41, West Portsmouth Elementary teacher, died at 5:30 a.m. today at her home at 125 Shump St., West Portsmouth.
She was the wife of Dale W. Gillette, instrumental music instructor at West High School.
Mrs. Gillette had been seriously ill the last year.
She was born Dec. 1, 1912 at Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Pearl S. and Harriett E. Tussing Deardurff.
She was married to Mr. Gillette Aug. 28, 1940.
Surviving are her husband and a daughter, Suzanne; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Dettwiller of Andolusia, Ala., Mrs. Nellie Allison of Cromwell, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Ethel Maurer of Miami, Fla.
Mrs. Gillette was a member of the Baptist Church at Bellefontaine.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Emrick Funeral Home with Rev. Vaughn E. Sprunger officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
