Alice Corley Dake, 100, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001 at Heritage House Convalescent Center.

Born May 18, 1901, in St. Paul, she was the daughter of Charles and Laura (Bullard) Herndon. She married Chester Corley and he preceded her in death. She married Charles Dake in 1946. He preceded her in death Sept. 16, 1966.

Survivors include four sons, Robert E. Corley, Harry C. Corley, Carl Corley and Norman "Butch" Corley, all of Shelbyville; two daughters, Mary Alice Richart of Okeechobee, Fla., and Doris May Lasalle; 34 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Dake was a lifelong Shelby County resident.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway St., with the Rev. James Horner officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
