Mrs. Sula Mae Browning, 82, of Jacksonville, Rt. 2, died at her home Sunday after a long illness.
Funeal services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Hammond Harpley and the Rev. Oscar Smith officiating. Burial will be in Landers Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The body will lie [in state] at the residence until one hour prior to services.
She is survived by her husband,Landers Browning; two sons, James Browning of Cairo, Ill., and Wayne Browning of Lamoore, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Maurice Carpenter of Jacksonville; two brothers, Leonard and Trenton Cole, both of Gadsden; one sister, Mrs. Milton Herring of Huntsville seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Browning had lived in th New Liberty community for most of her life and was active in church and community affairs.
