Blanche Delores Kemp, age 79, of Fulton, Missouri was called to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.
She was born July 31, 1935, in Williamsburg, Missouri, the daughter of the late Howard Beard Sr. and the late Allie Mae (Patty)Beard. On March 31, 1956 Blanche was united in marriage to Clifford Kemp Sr. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2004.
Blanche was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church. She served the church in many capacities, including preparing meals and caring for the pastor. Blanche was a cook at Gaspers Truck Plaza for over fifty years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found great pleasure in spending time with her family.
Those remaining to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, include a son, Clifford (Susan) Kemp Jr.; daughters, Frances Lauwaghn White and Reva Jean Kemp of Fulton, Missouri and Shannon Kemp of Columbia, Missouri; a brother, Howard Beard Jr. of Fulton, Missouri; sisters, Grace McBride of Columbia, Missouri and Maureen Buckner of Fulton, Missouri; grandchildren, Desmond White, Ja'Linda White, Kaisten Kemp, Chelsea Lopez, Alyesa Kemp, Brieanna Kemp, Royce Kemp and Lorenzo Kemp; great-grandchildren, Ntire Lopez, Mila Lopez, Traycen White, Emerson White, Charles Pearl Jr.,Kylani Pearl and Z'ja'Lisuon White; numerous brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and husband, Blanche was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda and Shirley Kemp.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Second Christian Church in Fulton with Reverend Cedric Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of service at the church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
