Blanche B. Greiner, age 93 of Austin, MN passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.

Blanche Belle Bedford was born March 5, 1921 in Lyle Township, Mower County, Minnesota to Frank E. and Leffie (Anderson) Bedford. Blanche lived most of her childhood and married life in Lyle, Minnesota. On June 25, 1938, Blanche and Robert L. Greiner were united in marriage at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She and Robert moved to Austin in 1967, where she resided until her death. A member of First Baptist Church, Blanche was involved in the Women’s Missionary Fellowship and Woodbury Willing Workers. Her husband passed away in April 1991. Blanche was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Survivors include her daughters Georgia (Hilmore) Williams of Austin, Bonny (Warren) Toavs of Billings, MT, Rebecca Greiner-Pepper of Austin; her son-in-law Richard Grinstead of Tucson, AZ; 12 grandchildren: Julie (Travis) Schmidt, Darwin (Trixie) Williams, Kimberly (Steve) Phillips, Jodi (Mike) Feller, Jeffery (Jana) Toavs, Jolene Toavs, Marcus Grinstead, Allyn Grinstead, Carmen (Aaron Griffin) Laforte, Lisa (LaVern Maloney) Eichman, Robert (Carla) Pepper, Anna Erie; 30 great-grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren; her sister Helen (Russell) Ashley of Austin and her faithful puppy ‘Petey’. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Leffie Bedford, her husband Robert Greiner, her daughter Betty Grinstead, grandson Thomas Jon Pepper, and precious brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church-East Campus in Austin, 100 4th Avenue SE. Rev. Brett Williams will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21 at Worlein Funeral home in Austin, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials can be directed to recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
