Mrs Lesesne, a native of Union County, was a daughter of the late Reuben T and Gertrude Gist Gee. She married J Harry Lesesne, prominent attorney of Manning and lived there until his death in 1918, soon thereafter moving to Spartanburg.
She was educated at Converse College and illustrative of a family tradition for teaching, taught for many years principally in the Spartanburg City Schools. Her total teaching career was for a period of 38 years. She was a member of Central Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Margaret Lesesne, and a son, Gist Lesesne of Spartanburg; two sisters, Miss Mary Wilson Gee of Spartanburg and Mrs Charles Joyner of Mayesville; two brothers, Dr Wilson Gee of Charlottesville, Va, and Robert Gee of Newberry.
