Sarah Hewson was the daughter of William Hewson, a miller in Barton on Humber, and his wife, Sophia Trimingham. She married Frederick T. Levick on August 12, 1874. She gave birth to 10 children, but 2 were stillborn and one died as an infant. A typhoid outbreak took the life of their 13 years old daughter, Phoebe Grace, and two days later, that of Sarah. After the death of Sarah, Frederick moved to Canada with the elder 5 of the remaining 6 children.
