Cora S. Haas, age 91, of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away on November 17, 2014 in her residence at Grand View Manor. The wife of the late Leon T. Haas who passed on January 25, 2009. Born on April 25, 1923, in Rockland Township. She was the daughter of the late Warren R. Boyer and Lizzie L. (Sterner) Boyer. Cora was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. She had worked for many years at Clued Peabody Company and later Fleetwood Shirt Corporation both formerly of Fleetwood. Survived by her daughter Nancy L. (Haas) wife of Dallas R. Bennecoff of Fleetwood. Other survivors include two grandchildren Tanya R. Bennecoff of Shillington and Ryan L. Bennecoff of Fleetwood and a great grandson, Logan Leon Bennecoff. Also surviving is a sister Minerva (Boyer) Gauker of Fleetwood. Cora was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Boyer, Warren Boyer, Luther Boyer Earl Boyer and Reuben Boyer. Also eight sisters Mabel (Boyer) Bieber, Elda (Boyer) Border, Esta (Boyer) Readinger, Ellen (Boyer) Smith, Beulah (Boyer) Delp, Eva (Boyer) Hassler, Verna (Boyer) Bieber and Grace (Boyer) Keiser. A viewing will be held Thursday morning from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm followed by a funeral service at 12:30 pm from Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading. Contributions can be made to the memorial fund of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood.
