Virginia "Ginger" Daniel was born February 9, 1925, in National Park, New Jersey, and passed away in Sacramento on August 13, 2014 , age 89, from congestive heart failure and COPD.

Ginger was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, and Daughters of the King. She enjoyed gardening, growing cymbidium orchids, flower arranging, watercolors, oil painting, bridge, dancing, reading and talking to people.

She was predeceased by husbands Marion E. White and Walter "Bud" T. Daniel, her son Mark E. White, and her brother Vernon Shaw, and she was survived by her daughter Tima Halterman (Wayne) and sister Elinor Osborn (George). Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Aid Society, 2641 Cottage Way, #4, Sac. CA 95825 or Yolo Hospice, 1909 Galileo Ct, Ste A, Davis, CA 95616.

Ginger was buried with her husband Walter Daniel at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. They were both veterans of the US Navy, both having served in World War II.
