The Emanuel County native lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for 10 years before moving to Toombs County in 1995. He retired from the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe, and a member of Mount Shady Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: a sister, Christine E. Coleman of Lyons; four brothers, Alfred M. Edenfield, Lloyd C. Edenfield, Mandel M. Edenfield and Runt Edenfield, all of Lyons; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
