RINGLING -- Services for Ruby George Mendenall, 86, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle with the Rev. Jimmy Morris officiating. Interment will be at Ringling Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Spivey's Reser Funeral Home.
Born Sept. 16, 1916, in Anadarko to J.F. and Ola George, she died Jan. 16, 2003, in Ardmore.
A resident of Ringling since 1925, she married Cecil Mendenall on July 3, 1934, in Waurika and in addition to being a homemaker, helped her husband in his mechanic shop. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years on Dec. 4, 2002; a daughter, Carolyn Abshire, and a son, Cecil E. Mendenall.
Survivors include a brother, Homer George; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
