Burial will be in Cedarwood cemetery. Surviving are two sons, T. J. [Thomas Jefferson] of Roanoke Rapids and R. L. [Robert Lee] Clifton of Norfolk, Va; one daughter, Mrs. S. J. [Mary Sharon] Barnette of Norfolk, Va.; and eight grandchildren [Ruth Christine Clifton; Lawrence Elliott & Thomas Jefferson Clifton Jr.; Mary Eileen, James Carroll, Elizabeth Dare and Alan Ames Barnette; unknown] . She was a member of the First Christian Church. [Predeceased by daughter Sarah and son James W. Clifton].
