D.L. Koontz Succumbs At Clear Creek

A retired employee of the Monon Railroad, Delmar L. Koontz, age 76, died at his Clear Creek hom Saturday night. Death was attributed to complications of Old age.
He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Edna Koontz; two sons, Rufus Koontz, of Clear Creek, and Opal Koontz, of Bloomington; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Corman, of Route 3; Mrs. Mary Bouruke, of Route 5, and Mrs. Ruth Pate, of Route 5; two brothers, C.T. Koontz, of Bedford, and C.J. Koontz, of Bloomington; two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Harrell, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Bessie Hawkins, of Bloomington, and 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Koontz was a member of the Clear Creek Christian Church and the I.O.O.F.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at church of which he was a member and burial will be in Harrodsburg Cemetery. The Rev. R. S. Kilmer, church pastor, will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the I.O.O.F. Lodge at Clear Creek.
Active members will be Haskil, Clayton, Fred, and Jack Koontz, William Chambers, and Ray Wilson.
The body has been taken from the Green and Harrell Funeral Home to the residence.
