Artist and Illustrator. He was educated at the Academie Colarossi in Paris and he also studied for the renowned artist Henri Matisse. In the 1920s he was drawing caricatures for the magazine "The Tatler" in London, caricatures which became internationally recognized. During the World War II he worked as an artist in New York. He also illustrated many books during his career, among them works by Swedish Nobel Prize winner, Selma Lagerlöf. Despite the fact that his works were recognized round the world and were displayed at many international exhibitions, his most famous, and spread, "work of art" is the cover of the typical Swedish matchbox - "Solstickan".
