Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Cropsey United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Cropsey Cemetery, Cropsey.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 pm Monday, November 10, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 10 to 10:45 am prior to service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Cropsey United Methodist Church or the charity of donor’s choice.
Lucy was born July 5, 1915 in Cropsey; the daughter of Edwin and Julia (Huston) Gee. She married Virgil Elliott on August 26, 1933 in Joliet. Her husband preceded her in death on June 9, 1995.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Robert) Sinclair of Champaign; three sons, Gary (Marilyn) Elliott, Larry (Marlene) Elliott, both of Cropsey; Terry (Catherine) Elliott of Farmer City; eleven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, one sister, one grandson and one great grandson.
Lucy was a 1933 graduate of Cropsey High School. She was a member of Cropsey United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was also a member of United Methodist Women, Cropsey Women’s Club, McLean County Home Extension and a 4-H leader for many years.
