Christine Burns Massey, 83 of Covington, passed away at Newton Medical Center Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born in Sneads, Fl to the late Albert and Henretta Burns. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, William C. Massey. Mrs. Massey was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Christine and Ronnie Owens of Sneads, Fl, Glenda Porter of Sneads, Fl, and Patsy Johnson of Sneads, Fl; son and daughter-in-law James “Bill” and Shirley Smith of Covington, Ga.; brothers Wayne Burns of Bonifay, Fl and Lewis Burns of Geneva, Al; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Clifton Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
