She was the daughter of the late Sam H. and Rose Anne Dugger Young. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, H.J. Gouge, in 1986; her second husband, Howard White, in 1993; a brother, Sam H. Young Sr.; and a sister, Ilene Young.
Mrs. White was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton and the Elizabethton Senior Citizens. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2001 at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel.
Graveside services and interment were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2001 at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
