Geraldine met and married Charles Garrett and had her first son, Henry Garrett in 1961. They later divorced and in 1968, she had her second son, Eric Clarke. Geraldine worked for Todd Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington for HUD and retired from the federal government. She also worked at the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. She was a member of the Holy Ground Tabernacle Church Mother's Board and Choir. Her mentor at the church was mother Frankie Birden. Geraldine started early in life attending church and as a result, was baptized at the age of twelve. From that moment on, she remained committed to GOD'S Commandments.
Geraldine loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to read her Bible daily, played the piano for pleasure, read poetry for entertainment, and loved to go to garage sales. She was always happy singing her favorite gospel songs and you could hear her from anywhere in the house including the garage. Most of all, she had a hobby of collecting elephants in which her collection included elephants from all over the world.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Aperlonie Oliver, Sr. Her sweet spirit remains in the hearts of her family, two sons, Henry Garrett and wife Crystal, Seattle, Washington and Eric Clarke, Lawton, Oklahoma; two brothers, Isaac Oliver, Jr. and wife Jessie, Seattle, Washington and Charles Oliver and wife Aloncita, Des Moines, Washington; one sister, Dorothy Durrett, Des Moines, Washington; five grandchildren, Jalon Garrett, Cierra Brown and husband Osure, Jerrice Thornton and husband Tyler, Henry Garrett, Jr., and Christopher Garrett; two great grandchildren, Isiah and Izariah Brown; five nephews, Alando Durrett, Mark and Martin Oliver, Hamisi and Habasi Oliver; one niece Letealia Oliver; one great nephew, Noah Oliver, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
